Our brand DELTIC is part of the Legend Outdoors LLC organization, which contains our sister brand Legend Calls. Here at DELTIC, as with Legend Calls, we are a small family owned and operated business based in Max, North Dakota (Population: ~350 people). We apply our years of hunting and outdoors experience to create products that we would be proud to use ourselves. Using a combination of personal skills from engineering and design to communication and entrepreneurship, we aim to not only create products, but to be innovative in the products we do create.

In 2017, two brothers and a friend sat down at a kitchen table to discuss entrepreneurship in the outdoors industry. After nights of discussion, we decided we would use our skills as hunters to create game calls. With a 3D printer and an engineering background, we designed our first game calls. Years later, we have designed calls that are some of the best selling and most innovative calls on the market with our Patent Pending Insulating Band Designs. From online marketplaces such as Amazon and Walmart, to big brand retailers such as Scheels, our products were catching people's eyes.

With the call business taking off, we decided we wanted to expand into other sectors of the outdoors industry. This is where the brand DELTIC was born. With our dad joining the company, we had another enthusiastic outdoorsman ready to get in on the fun of creating quality outdoors products. One summer, over a phone call, we discussed an issue we have while big game hunting out west. The problem was that we always seemed to be having a hard time fitting the large cooler space we needed for traveling to hunt elk and mule deer. When doing these hunts, we often would travel in groups of 2 to 6 guys. The possibility of needing cooler space for 6+ animals had us struggling to make things fit, sometimes even with a trailer. This led to the idea of creating a cooler that could be collapsible when needed, yet carry elk quarters in whatever space was left over when required. Hence, the birth of the DELTIC Guide Cooler Bags! A cooler that could collapse for travel, yet have the volume for big game quarters when needed! After a year of design and prototyping, we landed on the final design and put them out to market in 2025!
